In-Person Classroom Training + Practice Drives

In-person classes meet at the YMCA each Sunday for 10 weeks at 1-4 pm or 4-7pm. Students are graded on classroom participation as well as a final exam.

Students also receive six hours of in-car driving lessons and will sign up each week for the times that work with their schedules.

Class size is limited, so register early.

Cost:

• $445
• A $170 deposit is due at registration with the remaining $275 paid weekly for 6 weeks.
• The first $50 payment after deposit is due the week of the first class using our payment contract form. Fees must be paid in full by the sixth week or student will be dropped from the class.
• No refunds given for any reason.

2026 Sessions:

• Session 4 – 4-7 pm June 28 – September 13 (No class 7/5 & 9/6)
• Session 5 – 1-4 pm August 30 – November 8 (No class 9/6)
• Session 6 – 4-7 pm October 4 – December 13

Online Training

How do I get started?

• To enroll in the online program, you will need to scan the QR code AND call the YMCA at 812-828-9622 ext1 to pay and get registered.

How much will it cost?

• $475
• You have the option to pay in full or make a deposit of a minimum of $170.
• If paying the deposit, you must sign a payment contract. The payment contract schedules $50 weekly payments beginning one week after initial deposit and every week thereafter until paid in full. The payments are automatically deducted from the account of your choice (bank, credit or debit card). The payment contract form must be in place during the initial enrollment when deposit is made.
• Contracts can be signed in person at the front desk (Member Services) or emailed to you and returned to the front desk.
